Part Time Faculty, Emergency Medical Services

NorthWest Arkansas Community College is seeking qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors in the Emergency Medical Services discipline. Applications will be kept on file for the fiscal year ending June 30. When a position becomes available, the hiring department will review the applications on file. After each fiscal year end the application will expire and a new application must be completed to remain in the applicant pool. If you choose not to provide an email address, please note that you will need to log back into the system in order to obtain updates regarding your application. - Must keep current Arkansas License at the Paramedic Level - Should be able to work effectively with employees and all levels of leadership within the institution. - Must be able to handle highly confidential material efficiently and effectively. - Must possess strong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. - Ability to build relationships with individuals and teams across the institution and campus. - Ability to analyze information and recommend appropriate action. - Knowledge of planning, research, and analysis techniques and procedures. - Knowledge of department, operations, policies, and procedures. - Must be able to report clear, concise and accurate ad-hoc reports to all levels of leadership. - Must be able to operate equipment associated with the Education of EMS students such as - Substitute teach Emergency Medical Responder courses - Instruct Emergency Medical Responder Courses - Substitute Teach EMT Courses - Instruct Paramedic Lab. - Cleaning lab area - Clinical Instruction Rate of pay varies by degree/licensure: Level 1 (Cert./Licensure in Discipline) =$32.00/hr.  Level 2 (Licensure + AAS Degree) =$35.00/hr.  Level 3 (Bachelor's Degree) = $39/hr.                            Level 4 (Master's Degree) = $42/hr.                                Level 5 (Doctorate Degree) = $45/hr.  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Experience with leadership at a community college or educational institution is a plus. Demonstrated teaching ability is the top priority. Instructional experience and leadership experience at a community college is a priority. Ability to use an on-line platform. On-line delivery of instruction, use of technology for instruction, and experience or interest in project based, service learning, or inquiry-based learning will be given special consideration. Knowledge of good laboratory procedures, governmental safety regulations regarding lab safety is desirable.
