SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
The Human Resources Assistant helps create a warm and welcoming experience for all employees reaching out to Human Resources. This role is the first point of contact for all of Human Resources and provides support for all areas of Human Resources.
Duties: The Human Resources Specialist provides support to all areas of Human Resources including greeting visitors and guests, answering phones, performing data entry and clerical duties, processing documents (reviewing, scanning and indexing), and fulfilling any other duties assigned in Employee Services.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in a University of Arkansas program
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and documents
- Ability to interpret and apply state and agency/institution policies and procedures governing human resources
- Ability to communicate with a diverse group of employees
- Ability to analyze data and prepare reports
- Ability to work in a technological environment demonstrating proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and data base applications
