Fayetteville Public Schools is seeking a creative, collaborative, and student-centered middle school Visual Arts teacher. This position will support students in grades 5 and 6 with their development as young artists. For the 2026-27 school year this position will be split between both Holt Middle School and John L Colbert Middle School.
The ideal candidate will foster students’ artistic growth through high-quality instruction in a positive, organized, and enthusiastic learning environment in alignment with Arkansas Department of Education Visual Arts Standards. This position requires a strong commitment to collaboration, in working across campuses and within the district Visual Arts team.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing daily instruction in Visual Arts to students grades 5-6
- Responsible use of instructional budget and resource management as they relate to the needs of the visual art classroom
- Participating in building-level art displays and community events, the annual Middle School Art Show, as well as an annual FPS District Art Show
- Supporting building level needs as required by principals
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong instructional skills, effective communication, and a passion for working as a collaborator that supports student artistic growth and excellence.
