About This Role
The Academic Assistance Coordinator is a full-time position (40 hours per week, 10 months per year) assisting students in study skill development, managing the Class and General Tutoring Program, and advising students who are enrolled in Student Support Services.
### Role qualifications

### Position Responsibilities
- Teach study skills and strategies in group workshops and individual meetings.
- Provide accountability and time management support for students.
- Manage general tutoring program.
- Manage class tutoring program.
- Meet weekly with students on academic success contract.
- Meet with SSS students periodically as required, and additionally as necessary.
- Meet with non-SSS students when needed to provide academic assistance.
- Serve on the Student Success Team.
### Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum of two years' experience working with low income, first-generation college students or students with disabilities.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office365 competently.
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of organization, with the ability to manage a variety of tasks concurrently.
### Preferred Skills and Experience
- Minimum of one year's experience teaching academic learning strategies to college students.
- Experience similar or relatable to Student Support Services participants preferred.
### Education
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
