Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading and directing the Tyson private fleet transportation team to achieve business and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driver Management
- On-time Service Management
- Driver Safety Management
- Driver and Load Problem Resolution
- Other duties as assigned
2nd Shift: Flexible schedule. Could be 5 days or split 12 hour shifts (1800-0600).
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: 1 year in transportation (preferred but not required).
Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Tyson Business Computer Systems, Sale Inventory SAP Transportation, and Warehousing Systems is a plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Supervisory: Acts as a team leader, providing functional supervision and training for other team members.
Travel: Occasional domestic trips (1-5 per year).
