As a Shopper Insights Lead supporting Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Club channels, you will play a critical role in influencing strategy for some of our most important retail partners—bringing deep shopper understanding to fuel category leadership and win in-store and online.
Role Summary
The Shopper Insights Lead will serve as the strategic voice of the shopper for Walmart, Sam’s Club, and other Club retailers. This role partners closely with Sales, Category Leadership, Marketing, and eCommerce teams to translate shopper, and retail insights into actionable strategies that drive growth, strengthen customer relationships, and elevate Kraft Heinz’s presence across these high-impact channels.
Key Responsibilities
Shopper & Channel Expertise
- Act as the lead shopper insights partner for Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Club channel businesses
- Develop a deep understanding of omnichannel shopper behavior, including in-store, pickup, and eCommerce dynamics specific to mass and club retail
- Identify key growth drivers, barriers, and whitespace opportunities across priority categories
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner with Customer Sales Leads and Category Advisors to shape joint business plans with Walmart and Sam’s Club
- Influence assortment, shelving, pricing, and promotional strategies using data-driven insights
- Support key customer meetings with compelling, insight-led storytelling
Insight Generation & Activation
- Design and lead custom research initiatives (quantitative and qualitative) to answer critical business questions
- Synthesize multiple data sources (e.g., panel data, loyalty, shopper card, digital shelf analytics) into clear, actionable insights
- Translate insights into recommendations that impact innovation, activation, and retail execution
Omnichannel & eCommerce Leadership
- Drive understanding of digital shelf, search, and online conversion dynamics for Walmart.com and SamsClub.com
- Partner with eCommerce teams to optimize content, media, and shopper journeys
- Identify opportunities to win across click-and-collect and delivery models
Thought Leadership
- Champion a shopper-first mindset across internal and external stakeholders
- Build compelling narratives that connect shopper behavior to business outcomes
- Stay ahead of industry trends in retail, shopper marketing, and omnichannel commerce
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
- 10-12+ years of experience in shopper/consumer insights and primary market research
- Strong experience working with Walmart, Sam’s Club, or Club channel retailers preferred
- Expertise in syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana/IRI), shopper data, and digital analytics
- Proven ability to translate data into clear, persuasive business recommendations
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$141,500.00 - $176,900.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
