About This Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections on trailers, yard trucks, and other equipment used in concrete production, including tires, engines, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks to keep vehicles and equipment in optimal working condition.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete necessary repairs to ensure efficient and safe operation of machinery and vehicles.
- Maintain and organize a well-equipped maintenance shop with appropriate tools and supplies for efficient repair tasks.
- Work with production teams to ensure that necessary equipment is available and operational for production schedules.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Assist with emergency repairs as needed to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mechanical work or vehicle maintenance preferred, but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire maintenance, and fluid checks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to adhere to them consistently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team.
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing tasks that may involve repetitive movement.
