Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the daily and periodic vendor pricing negotiations for tooling, parts, and other shop supplies. The incumbent will assist in maintaining supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with Maintenance procurement policies and systems.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sourcing opportunities for small-scale projects and actionable insights to stakeholders
- Procure quotes for various parts and shop items, including any specialized equipment and tooling related items; negotiate parts prices, terms and conditions with vendors and challenge product specifications for long-term procurement commitments
- Coordinate and manage tool/part warranty repairs with manufacturers
- Complete and oversee purchase requisitions for various business unit leaders & fleet support locations; monitor freight charge exceptions related to parts shipping on purchase orders
- Manage tool inventory for items no longer needed at select locations
- Perform proper record keeping and maintain part purchasing documentation
- Assist with contract negotiations and renewals to ensure alignment with business needs and minimize risk
- Maintain system data integrity and support internal controls to ensure compliance with procurement policies
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to promote procurement as a trusted business partner
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 1-3 years of experience in Inventory, Purchasing and supply chain management and/or military equivalent or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with spend analytics, supplier management, negotiation, and category management
- Experience with Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Excel, and the ability to leverage where necessary other reporting and analysis tools
- Financial, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Experience with Inventory Management within the Transportation Industry
- Ability to assist with Maintenance procurement process
- Experience with extracting data from structured and unstructured data sources is a plus

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
