<p>Olsson is seeking a Reality Capture &amp; Geospatial Production Technician to support our growing reality capture practice. This position integrates point cloud processing, and CAD-based feature extraction, transforming high-resolution reality capture data into accurate, standards-compliant deliverables for transportation, municipal, and infrastructure projects. Creating usable deliverable from UAV LiDAR / photogrammetry systems, terrestrial scanners, and mobile mapping systems.</p>
<p><em>This role involves working both in office and field environments; including all types of terrain and weather conditions.&nbsp;</em></p>
<p>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</p>
<ul>
<li>Organize, ingest, and validate raw point cloud and imagery datasets</li>
<li>Verify coordinate systems, metadata, and alignment to survey control</li>
<li>Perform registration and alignment using tools such as Leica Cyclone Register 360, Leica Cyclone Pegius Office, DJI Terra, LP360, Pix4D, and Trimble Business Center.</li>
<li>Maintain clean, traceable file structures and documentation to support QA/QC and audits</li>
<li>Configure and execute point cloud feature extraction workflows using TopoDOT, Leica Cyclone 3DR</li>
<li>Convert extracted features into client-ready CAD and design deliverables</li>
<li>Produce and update drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation.</li>
<li>Perform checks and calculations to ensure positional accuracy and standards compliance</li>
<li>Support production of survey plans, design support files, and construction documents</li>
<li>Perform QA/QC checks on reality capture deliverables against internal standards, DOT, and ASPRS requirements</li>
<li>Identify extraction errors, data gaps, and rework risks early in the production process</li>
<li>Collaborate with survey crews, designers, engineers, and project managers</li>

<li>Associate’s degree (or coursework) in surveying, civil engineering, GIS, geomatics, geospatial technology, or a related field&nbsp;OR equivalent technical experience preferred&nbsp;</li>
<li>Minimum 4 years experience with reality capture, LiDAR, photogrammetry or survey data processing</li>
<li>Working knowledge of CAD drafting and survey data processing, in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation</li>
<li>Understanding of coordinate systems, control networks, and survey fundamentals</li>
<li>Ability to support mentoring and training of less experienced technicians&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
