About This Role
Perform cleaning tasks including but not limited to those outlined below. This position is 4 hours per day.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Assist day custodian with cafeteria cleaning. This duty is performed daily.
2. Monitoring the condition of the facility and maintaining cleanliness by sweeping floors and wiping tables, chairs, and other surfaces. This duty is performed daily
3. Setting up tables and cleaning them after each meal is served. This duty is performed daily
4. Maintain a flexible schedule for special school functions. This duty is performed daily
5. Take out trash. This duty is performed daily
Other duties may include:
1. Clean all restrooms as needed: Clean stools, urinals, lavatories, and chrome. Refill paper towels, tissue, and soap dispensers. Wash walls, stalls, and doors daily and graffiti removal.
2. Clean all classrooms of teachers or staff work areas as needed. Vacuum carpet areas and rugs as needed. Empty all trash cans and pencil sharpeners as needed.
3. Hallways: Use an auto scrubber as needed and spray buff weekly. Mop every night where needed. Dust hallway, cabinets, windows ledges, etc., weekly. Clean water fountains. Empty trash in hallway trash cans.
4. Maintain a flexible schedule for special school functions. This duty is performed daily.
