About This Role
Responsibilities include assessment, analysis and treatment of injuries to student-athletes, documentation of injuries and care plan, evaluating readiness to return to play, communication with coaches and collaborating with physicians, appropriate athletic practice and game coverage. This is a full-time position with benefits.
Position Responsibilities include ensuring the professional care and safety of all intercollegiate student-athletes as outlined in the John Brown University Athletic Training Policies and Procedures Manual which includes but is not limited to the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries incurred by student athletes; up-to-date files of physical exams, SOAP notes, and daily injury treatment logs; physician appointments, emergency care, and decisions related to environmental conditions (heat index, lightning, etc.).
Education: Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred. NATABOC certified. Arkansas State Licensure.
The physical demands include occasional walking, standing, sitting, using hands, reaching, balancing, stooping, talking, and hearing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
