Position Details:

Position Summary:

The Director of Respiratory Therapy provides leadership and overall direction for Respiratory Services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality respiratory care and life-support services for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. This role oversees department operations, staff development, quality and performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and respiratory therapy policies and protocols.

The Director serves as a clinical resource and educator for Respiratory Therapy staff and works collaboratively with physicians, the Medical Director, hospital leadership, and other departments to advance respiratory therapy practices and standards of care. ## Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.

Licensure: Current Respiratory Care license in the applicable state of practice.

Experience

• Minimum of three years of experience across cardiopulmonary services.

• Minimum of one year of previous departmental management experience.

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong clinical knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and equipment.

• Knowledge of applicable accreditation, state health department, peer review, and quality assessment requirements.

• Ability to lead, educate, and develop respiratory therapy staff.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage clinical, operational, and quality priorities simultaneously.
