Fire Protection Engineer

As part of the Buildings Group for Garver, this Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for developing fire protection designs in support of various Buildings Business Line projects. Responsibilities include:

• Leading the planning, design, and commissioning of building fire protection, suppression, and alarm systems.
• Coordination with other support disciplines and regional offices.
• Assisting project managers in project management.
• Following quality assurance and quality control plans, with periodic travel to project sites required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university or college.
• Licensed Professional Engineer having passed the Fire Protection examination.
• 5-10 years of building design and construction industry experience.
• Strong communication skills and experience with Autodesk Revit.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AIA MasterSpec and knowledge of Federal Agencies design criteria.
