Essential Job Duties
This is a safety/security sensitive position for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

1. Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers, maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of their own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.
2. Provide supervision of Maintenance III and other workers in the absence of the Crew Leader or lead workers.
3. Operate heavy construction equipment such as: backhoe, bobcat, skid loader, dump truck, front end loader and slipform paver.
4. Assist and/or lead in all aspects of the division.
5. Assist with basic grades construction of sidewalks, street, trails and drainage.
6. Perform basic carpentry and concrete finishing skills.
7. Move equipment and materials to and from job sites.
8. Maintain equipment through daily maintenance, checks and grease applications.
9. Perform other duties as they relate to specific divisions such as Transportation and Operations.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Secondary Job Duties

1. Removal of snow and ice from City roads.
2. Perform traffic control and assistance with moving traffic through and/or around job sites.
3. Perform secondary duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED and 18 months of related experience or training.
2. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.
3. Must obtain a Class B CDL within 120 days of hire date.
4. Effectively communicate with others orally and in writing.
5. Knowledge in the use of heavy equipment, such as backhoe, front end loader, skid loaders, dump truck, salt truck, slipform paver preferred.
6. Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
7. Exposed to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and high noise levels.
