**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
- Maintain and operate equipment.
- Drive dump trucks in a safe manner.
- Work call duty as assigned.
- Assist supervisor with the planning and preparation of jobs.
- Assist supervisor in ensuring crew members are working to their potential.
- Know and understand other utility markings.
- Communicate with the public in a professional manner.
- Function as supervisor in the absence of the crew leader.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or GED and three years of related experience.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with tanker (N) endorsement within six months of employment.
- Must possess at minimum an Arkansas Grade I Water Distribution License and obtain an Arkansas Class I Wastewater License within two years of employment.
- Prefer Arkansas Highway Work Zone Traffic Safety License.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed for emergencies or while on call duty.
- Effectively communicate with others orally and in writing.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information to customers and the general public.
- Prefer proficiency in the use of backhoe, dump truck, service truck, air compressor, Mini-x, track hoe, trench boxes, dozer, concrete truck, sewer wash truck, tap machine and core drill.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. This job requires regular exposure to wet conditions, moving mechanical parts, and a loud work environment.
