About the team: The Beer Merchandising team is dedicated to curating unique, locally relevant assortments that support regional breweries and emerging brands. Collaborating closely with suppliers, stores, and cross-functional partners, the team leverages data-driven insights and industry expertise to optimize category performance and meet customer preferences. Operating in a dynamic environment, team members influence assortment strategy, discover new products, and enhance the customer experience across Food. This role requires strong skills in category strategy, financial and supplier management, decision-making, and adaptability to drive impactful results and maintain alignment with market trends. What you'll do: Develop and execute category strategies aligned with long-term business objectives, analyzing market trends and customer behavior. Manage pricing, promotions, and inventory decisions to optimize profitability and meet financial targets. Lead supplier negotiations, establish performance metrics, and oversee supplier relationships to ensure effective execution. Drive channel strategy and collaborate with supply chain partners to align category goals. Oversee team performance, provide coaching, and manage priorities to support business growth. Utilize data analysis to inform decisions, improve assortment, and enhance customer experience across channels. Support execution of features, modular layouts, and product setups to maximize category impact. What you'll bring: Proven experience in category strategy development and execution for moderately complex categories. Strong financial management skills, including profit and loss ownership and budget forecasting. Expertise in supplier negotiation and relationship management to drive price leadership and profitability. Ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions. Demonstrated team management capabilities, including coaching, performance evaluation, and talent development. Proficiency in leveraging data analytics and digital tools to influence business outcomes. Effective decision-making skills with a focus on customer-centric and omni-channel strategies. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
