Job Summary
We are seeking a front desk Patient Coordinator for our Primary & Urgent Care location in Fayetteville, AR (Joyce and Crossover) The Patient Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients within the Clinic, providing a cordial greeting and ensuring the patient's need are met in an effective positive way. The is a full-time position with the schedule of Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Ideally, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our patients and can effectively complete the required administrative work efficiently and accurately. This will be a float position requiring travel to other Community Clinic locations in the region on a as needed basis. Mileage will be reimbursed per our mileage reimbursement policy.
Responsibilities
Provides exceptional customer service during all aspects of a patient visit to Community Clinic
Ensures patient information is entered into the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and updated regularly for all patients.
Ensures patient payments are collected, posted correctly to accounts and collections are balanced daily.
Coordinates with Patient Financial Services on required patient information in the EMR, payments and insurance inquiries.
Schedules patient appointments appropriately, based on patient needs, provider requests and approved scheduling guidelines.
Maintains a clean and orderly work environment to ensure the professional appearance of the Clinic at all times.
Keeps management team informed of all activities and on goings in the medical clinic.
Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECK, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA.
Knowledge and critical skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds.
Ability to perform cash, check and credit card payment transactions with accuracy.
Ability to work and function independently and within a team.
Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office Software.
Ability to train, guide and monitor staff and new staff, act as a liaison for manager and assist with scheduling and coverage.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, families and medical staff,
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Friendly demeanor and willingness to serve patients is required
Preferred Qualifications
1 year medical front office experience preferred.
1 year customer service experience preferred.
Bilingual (English/Marshallese or Spanish) ability preferred.
Experience working with an Electronic Medical Record system (especially eCW) preferred.
