Job Posting Description: Position Summary... What you'll do... You are a Principal visual and communications designer; a creative leader who defines the visual voice for Walmart's highest-stakes, highest-visibility moments. You bring exceptional visual, typographic, editorial, and motion craft — and the pragmatic production discipline to deliver work fast — alongside the executive presence to operate comfortably at the C-suite level, shaping narratives and influencing decisions. You set the standard for communications design across the enterprise, working with autonomy, authority, and a relentless commitment to world-class craft. About the team: Walmart’s Global Design organization delivers impactful experiences that connect customers, associates, and partners to the mission: Save Money. Live Better. This multidisciplinary team includes product designers, researchers, content designers, technologists, and operators across Walmart US, Sam’s Club, International, and Enterprise. Focused on strategic, craft-based design, the team enhances every customer touchpoint through collaboration with stakeholders. Emphasizing rigorous research, prototyping, and clear communication, members create innovative, user-centered solutions that improve interaction, usability, and visual design across all Walmart platforms and services. What you'll do: Visual identity & craft Define and lead visual and editorial identity for the highest-visibility org-level communications: executive presentations, events, and all-hands. Set art direction at world-class standards: typography, layout, editorial systems, and motion that are refined, expressive, and authoritative. Production & delivery Deliver production-ready assets and support end-to-end delivery for events. Systems & scale Architect reusable templates, editorial frameworks, and toolkits that enable consistent outputs by non-designers across the enterprise. Strategic partnership Serve as the trusted visual design partner for senior executives, translating strategy into compelling visual narratives. Define standards and craft guidelines; mentor and elevate the broader design community. What you'll bring: Experience in Graphic/Visual design, brand identity, motion design, or studio/agency art direction. Portfolio demonstrating worldclass typography, editorial design, brand systems, executive communications, and motion. Advanced craft across typographic systems, layout, color, iconography, and motion. Proven ability to build relationships and influence C-suite executives. Strong production discipline: Figma, After Effects (or equivalent), clean file systems and documentation. Preferred qualifications Experience building templates and reusable visual toolkits for large, complex organizations. Background in event/streaming, stage, or broadcast graphics. Familiarity with accessibility, localization, and front-end constraints. Comfort working within and extending design systems; experience applying brand standards across communication formats.
