Essential Job Duties
1. Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers, maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of his or her own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.
2. Assist with the promotion, implementation, and day-to-day responsibilities of recreation programs including but not limited to youth sports, adult sports, camp programs, summer concerts, race series events, park openings, neighborhood or community programs, and other special events.
3. Responsible for program management, customer service and general facility supervision for recreational programs and events.
4. Perform supervisory responsibilities for assigned recreation activities, services, facilities, and special events including evenings, weekends, and scheduled on-call periods as needed.
5. Exercise sound judgement and decision making as it relates to enforcement of Park Ordinances, inclement weather, emergency situations, and risk management for programs, events, and facilities.
6. Support in the administration of the Parks and Recreation office such as directing general park inquiries to the appropriate staff members and providing front desk assistance to customers with registration, reservations, and other needs.
7. All actions must be in accordance with the City's policies and applicable laws.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Education and/or experience providing public service to children and adults in recreation, community based program physical education, or a closely related field preferred.
3. Must possess a valid Driver's License.
4. Must successfully pass criminal background check.
5. Must possess or be willing to obtain a CPR/First Aid Certificate.
6. Ability to officiate sports games.
7. Regular evening, weekend, and on-call program/event supervision is expected and required.
8. Effectively communicate with others orally and in writing.
