Essential Job Duties:
1. Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers, maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees.
2. Interview, hire, train, and evaluate employees of the recreation division; plan, assign, and delegate projects and tasks.
3. Strategically plan, implement, and evaluate programs. Manage facilities, and represent the City in all programs and special events.
4. Register teams for league play; handle communication between Parks and Recreation and participants.
5. Setup and maintain online field and facility reservations using recreation management software.
6. Recruit, train, and appraise performance of contract laborers; manage program budgets totaling over $100,000.
7. Collaborate with other staff to propose budgets for programs and ensure facilities are adequately prepared and maintained.
8. Supervise evening and weekend games, tournaments, and special events.
9. Assist in the administration of the Parks and Recreation office and provide front desk assistance to customers.
