Job Profile Summary:
This position supports the execution of leave of absence management, providing technical and analytical leadership on projects. A critical focus will be on identifying process improvement opportunities, optimizing centralized work, and measuring service delivery. Duties involve reviewing, approving, and correcting non-company leave requests (FMLA/Non-FMLA managed by a Third Party Administrator (TPA)), personal leaves, and other leave types (military, jury duty, bereavement). The role also initiates leave requests for seasonal and temporary layoffs, confirms leave balances, manages absences per policy, and executes regular reports on team members due to return from LOA. Additionally, it involves entering LOA/Short Term Disability (STD) data, processing STD payments, and interfacing with the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) for overdue LOAs. The role partners with HR and Nursing stakeholders for return-to-work or transitional work options, reviews and processes insurance premium payments for team members on unpaid LOA and conducts daily absence report audits for accuracy. It also resolves absence management cases via ServiceNow, ensuring compliance with service level agreements. Requirements: • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Experience: 3+ years relevant experience or equivalent. • Computer Skills: Tier II Support - Advanced computer skills related to HCM systems . Must be highly competent in the use of Excel. Microsoft Suite, Workday process knowledge, and SAP • Communication Skills: This position will interact with and is expected to communicate results/recommendations, and secure buy-in across a broad range of users, stakeholders, and management. Must have the ability to translate complex technical themes into business facing language. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. • Special Skills: General working knowledge of key HR Benefit support practices and procedures including team member transactional activities & ServiceNow systems. Experience with process documentation, identifying improvement opportunities and specific measurements to track performance post implementation. Proven ability to manage projects within People Operations using the defined Tyson methodology. Understands how to escalate & drive issues to resolution. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and develop new processes; Must be detail-oriented and work well in a team environment. Perseveres to locate necessary data and identify creative solutions to enable project completion. Consistently delivers high-quality, timely work resulting in highly satisfied customers. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities & deliverables in a fast-paced, dead-line oriented environment.
