Position: Sr. Manager, Advanced Analytics Job Location: 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716 Duties: Project Scope: Owns complex projects end-to-end for a business area, category or prototype. Manages risk associated with implementation. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; accordingly, developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Business Partnerships: Consults with senior leadership/ business partners (e.g., Sr. Directors/Directors) to understand overall goals/functional objectives, decipher key business challenges, identify tactics to anticipate and mitigate business challenges/issues and develop potential success criteria. Focuses efforts on items that have maximum impact to the business. Contributes to business area strategic planning by providing input and actionable recommendations and solutions to senior leadership based on advanced research and analytical findings. Model Development: Develops data models (algorithms, approaches) for complex projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions. Proof of Concept and Prototype: Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for complex projects. Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Evaluates new data analysis techniques to support prototype development. Collaborates with cross-functional partners (e.g., software engineering, category management) on prototypes and algorithms. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events. Data Collection and Analysis: Leads the development and execution of advanced analytics to address unique business and technical problems, and support data-driven decision making. Makes strategic recommendations to cross-functional leadership based on analysis results. Collaborates across all analytics functions to develop and implement data analysis strategies and anticipate future trends and analysis. Collaboration: Collaborates with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for complex projects for a business area, category or prototype. Collaborates and partners with external business partners and vendors. Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Telecommunications Engineering, Statistics, or related field plus 2 years of experience in data analytics or related experience; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Telecommunications Engineering, Statistics, or related field plus 4 years of experience in data analytics or related experience Skills required: Must have experience with: Performing advanced market & business analytics using statistical methods to evaluate customer behavior and operational performance; Analyzing large, structured datasets using SQL across enterprise data warehouse platforms (Hive, Presto, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server), performing joins, aggregations, window functions, and subqueries; Conducting statistical modeling using regression, segmentation, and forecasting techniques to identify performance drivers and trends; Designing and evaluating controlled experiments, including A/B and multivariate tests, by defining test/control groups and calculating statistical significance; Developing predictive and descriptive analytical models using statistical programming tools (eg: Python or R), including customer segmentation models and performance forecasting models; Creating interactive dashboards and KPI-driven visualizations using Tableau, including calculated fields and parameterized views; Translating business requirements into structured analytical frameworks by defining measurable KPIs and validation criteria; Performing ETL and data transformation processes to integrate and standardize data from multiple structured sources; Performing data profiling, reconciliation, and integrity checks to ensure analytical accuracy; Documenting analytical methodologies, SQL logic, model assumptions, and test designs using Confluence & SharePoint.
