Campus Safety Officer, Part Time

This position provides security and protection over persons and various University buildings and/or property within the University community by enforcing the rules and regulations of the University. The opening is for two, night-time, 10-hour shifts. This is a Safety Sensitive Position as defined by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). This means that employee's inability or impaired ability to perform job-related tasks could result in a direct threat to their safety and/or the safety of others. Responsibilities include providing security and protective services, investigating incidents, enforcing parking regulations, assisting in emergency care, and reporting equipment malfunctions. The position requires passing a psychological evaluation and completing tactical firearms training, as it is armed. Applicants must meet state certification requirements for an armed Commissioned Security Officer.
