$27.63 - $33.76 / hour, depending on experience and qualifications Plus shift premium for weekend shift hours Schedule

Weekend Shift (Thursday, 1:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., Friday 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Saturday Night 10:00 p.m. - 10:00 a.m.)

Job Summary

  • Performs general and preventive maintenance in specific areas of responsibility

  • Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble

  • Dismantles devices to remove defective parts

  • Examines parts to detect imperfections and determine changes in dimensional requirements

  • Adjusts, repairs, or replaces defective parts and control instruments

  • Installs special functional and structural parts

  • Performs basic electrical repairs

  • Designs and fabricates parts and equipment as needed

  • Researches prints, manuals, and other resources for repair or operational information

  • Lubricates and cleans parts; starts devices to test performance

  • Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools

  • Writes work orders, purchase requests, and preventive maintenance requests

  • Maintains familiarity with all department equipment operation and maintenance

  • Responds to service calls in a timely manner

  • Operates and maintains company service vehicles, tools, and service equipment

  • Demonstrates workplace behavior consistent with company policies and values

  • Communicates job information effectively to accomplish tasks

  • Maintains good attendance and personal hygiene; keeps a clean work area

  • Exercises personal safety on the job and ensures the safety of others and products

Required Qualifications

  • Must have or be able to obtain an LTO license and a valid driver’s license

  • Must have or be able to obtain a State of Arkansas Boiler Operator License

  • Experience servicing and maintaining industrial mobile equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, walk-behind lifts)

  • Strong commitment to company values, ethics, goals, and objectives

  • Demonstrated industrial mechanical competence, aptitude, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong planning, organizational, and computer skills

  • Excellent safety, attendance, and overall work record

  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision; highly self-motivated with a high degree of initiative

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, extended shifts, and attend off-shift team meetings

  • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well with internal and external personnel

  • Adaptable to change and willing to cross-train in other areas and departments

  • Willingness to perform Fire Suppression Systems maintenance, minor plumbing tasks, and assist maintenance specialists

  • Knowledge of and adherence to company food safety, product purity procedures, and GMPs

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with more than one year of experience

  • Willingness to attend off-shift classes and seminars as needed

  • Willingness to learn electrical and electronics tasks

  • Experience servicing and maintaining large industrial air compressors

  • Experience servicing and understanding elevator operations
