Senior Accountant

Acres is hiring a Senior Accountant to help run the day-to-day financial operations of a fast-growing land intelligence company. You’ll work across AP, AR, and the close process — keeping the books clean and the business informed. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You’ll collaborate across teams, support our external tax and audit partners, and be the go-to resource for finance questions from around the business. You’ll report to the Corporate Controller and work closely with the FP&A team and CFO. Core Responsibilities include managing the month-end and year-end close process and preparation of financial statements and filings in accordance with GAAP, maintaining the general ledger and chart of accounts, managing accounts payable, overseeing accounts receivable, coordinating with tax accountants and auditors, managing 1099 filings, overseeing expense reporting, and answering finance questions from around the business. Key Competencies include a Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field, 2-3+ years of progressive accounting experience, detail-oriented, experience with accounting software, knowledge of GAAP, outstanding communication skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
